Thank you for selecting the GREAT Human Performance Class.

This process will take about 10 minutes.

  1. Charter School Voucher Funding – No out of pocket cost. Our training program has been classified as a summer enrichment program offered by various charter home schools.  Registering for this ‘summer only’ class qualifies you for our strength training program during July & August at no cost.  As an added perk, we are allowing athletes registered in this class to remain with the strength and conditioning program until December 31, 2018. They will be able to train the entire cross country season at no additional cost.

TIME is of the essence. Since open enrollment various schools have been filling up and students have been put on a wait list. To avoid that we are streamlining our enrollment so we can get in without delay and hand holding each application.

Once you set up your registration account utilizing your preferred login and password PLEASE email that to us at confirm@GrassRootsAthletics.org  

This allows us to track and assist you when completing your registration.

To be clearyou are not transferring schools.  You are simply signing up for a single class that happens to be offered by a publicly accredited charter program.  Registration in that class entitles you to the same state funding public schools receive so they can offer summer school classes at no cost to CA residents.  This will have no effect on your child’s enrollment in their current school.

Please read the steps below very carefully.

Let’s get started!

You will need the following documents:

  • Birth certificate
  • Proof of residency (Gas/Electric/Water bill with name and address on it.)
  • Most recent report card (For grades 9-12)
  • Immunization Records (All pages)

After you submit the application, you will receive 2 emails from Summit Academy Homeschool about your registration.  Please send those emails to us at confirm@GrassRootsAthletics.org

  1. The first page will say “Home School Summer Connect”.   Scroll down and Click on “Enroll” at the bottom-left of the page
  2. Create a Username and Password
  3. Click on “Let’s Do This
  4. Fill in Parent information (click ‘add another Guardian’ if needed and repeat). Click on green button in bottom right corner “Next
  5. Fill in student information (click add another Student if needed and repeat). Click on green button in bottom right corner “Next
  6. Select “2018-2019 school year”, Fill in Current School, Grade and Grade applying to, etc.
  7. Click on green button in bottom right corner “Next
  8. Choose Preferred Schools: “Summit Academy Homeschool”.
  9. Click on green button in bottom right corner “Next
  10. Confirm Details and Continue

On the next screen you will see 5 items:

1. Term Selection

  • Click on “Term Selection”
  • Select “2018 Summer Only

2. 2018-2019 Registration

  • Click on “2018-2019 Registration”
  • Fill in student’s birthdate, gender, birth city, etc.
  • Complete Guarding Contact Info as well as Emergency Contact
  • “How did you hear about our program?” ⇒ Select “Other
  • “If someone referred you to Summit Academy” ⇒  Please type in “GrassRoots
  • “Educational Specialist Request”  type in: “GREAT
  • Select language preferences
  • Add signature using mouse

3. VA Student Media Release

  • Click ‘VA Student Media Release’
  • Initial & Sign

4. Family Economic Data Survey

  • Click ‘Family Economic Data Survey’
  • This is simply a survey.  It is used for demographic study purposes only.
  • Fill in& Sign

5. Registration Documents 

  • Click “Registration Documents”
  • Using your phone take a picture of the following documents and save them on your computer
  • Birth certificate (or passport)
  • Report Card (Grades 9-12 only)
  • Proof of Residency (Gas/Electric/Water bill with name and address)
  • Immunizations Records

Press the ‘upload’ button for each item

  • You DO NOT need to upload  IEP or 504 documents
  • Immunization documents are typically 2-3 pages.  Put only Page 1 of the Immunization record in the first upload button
  • You will see “Additional File Upload” several lines below ==> This is where you put page 2 of the Immunization Record
  • You will see another “Additional File Upload” ==> This is where you put page 3 of the Immunization Record (if needed)

Click “Submit”

Forward any emails you receive from Summit to confirm@GrassRootsAthletics.org
