GrassRoots Athletics is a registered USA Track and Field club (33-0526) and youth programs include cross country, track & field, general fitness and private coaching for those young athletes that are seeking more detailed instruction.  We have been providing the athletic community experienced coaching and expert instruction since 1998.  Programs are science based and focus on physiological development, mental preparation and nutritional improvement. The holistic approach is for the current athlete to realize their abilities and maximize on their efforts and choices.

Ages: We work with boys and girls ages 9 and older from 5th to 12th grade.

Practices: are adjusted based on month and/or weather and may go longer than the regular schedule based on workout and age group. Typical training days are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with prescribed workouts for older athletes on non practice days.

  • Summer 9- 10:15 AM
  • Winter 5:00- 6:15 PM
  • Fall 4:30- 5:45 PM
  • Spring 4:00- 5:15 PM


  • Registration: $175.00 (includes first month dues and team shirt).
  • Monthly Dues: $100.00
  • Uniform: $75.00-$150.00 (racing singlet, shorts, warm-ups)
  • USATF Membership: $20.00-$30.00/ year depending on age.
  • Competition: vary from $6.00-$25.00.

Cross Country

The Sport of Cross Country is a competitive team sport offered in the fall with championship competition in December.  Training and optional group runs starts in the early summer.

General Fitness

General fitness is a program designed to keep you in great shape during your primary sport off season. Increase your abilities with supplemental benefits from cross country/track and field workouts to reach your next level.

Private Coaching

Sometimes we need that individual 1:1 time to really excel. Private lesson will always emphasis a tailored approach for you. Designed to give you workouts that are customized based on your training history and current fitness.
